Encounter Summary:
Dave was working in the office at CWR when "Redhead" found a few transients east of Baynes Channel around 1230ish. Dave headed down to Snug Harbor and left aboard "Orcinus" at 1300. "Orcinus arrived on scene at 1314 about a mile or so southeast of Zero Rock. The males T49C and T124C were traveling northwest tight together but soon stopped to make a kill. Although it was unclear what they got, blubber oil could be smelled on the wind. The pair then got social and tactile while they fed in the same general area for the next twenty five minutes. They then began to head north again toward Kelp Reef with occasional brief bouts of social milling. The pair spread out a little and briefly checked out the kelp beds near Kelp Reef before getting back together again and continuing north. "Orcinus" ended the encounter at 1410 just a little north of Kelp Reef with T49C and T124C still heading north together.
