Encounter Summary:

We left the dock at Victoria harbor at 1806 to check out a report of transients coming in from the west towards the mouth of the harbor.

As we were idling out towards Ogden Point we could see a couple of whale watch boats with them within a half mile of Ogden Point breakwater. They were split into two groups so we started with the larger group to the south which included T041A with T041A2 and a newish calf T041A3 traveling along with members of the T030's. They were traveling east towards Trial Island.

Within a quarter mile to the north T041 was traveling with T030A also east bound.

At one point it looked as though T030A was making himself available to mate with T041.
We ended the encounter at 1609 as T030A and T41 circled back to the west to join the rest of the group. We last saw them tracking east.
